Sena got a great idea, which was to do some juggling along the Clear Creek Trail. We picked a route we hadn’t walked for a couple of years and made it happen.
OK, so I did the juggling and Sena shot video. But it was a blast.
We saw a couple of new sights. One was the dazzlingly colored Herky, decorated with sunflowers and goldfinches. The other was a handsome footbridge crossing Clear Creek where it runs north and south.
It was close to a 3 mile walk up and back on the trail. I remember it in August two years ago. It was fiendishly hot. It’s a lot cooler and more colorful in autumn.
It’s fun to juggle outdoors. I can toss the balls a lot higher and not worry about them bouncing off the ceiling on my head. The one thing I got a little nervous about was dropping them on the foot bridge. They could have easily fell into the creek. It’s a good thing I brought the beanbags or thuds because they tend to plop where you drop and won’t roll.
Maybe Sena will practice juggling a little before we hike the Clear Creek Trail to juggle again.
