Practicing the Rainbow Cross Juggling Trick

—

,

I’m working on a new juggle trick for me; it’s the Rainbow Cross. It’s a column-type pattern, similar to the 1UP2UP trick. The difference is the two outside balls cross in the air.

There are a lot of collisions, which are fun—for a while.

Some jugglers call this trick an easy beginner trick while others say it’s an intermediate skill. I’d say it’s the latter.

I think it’s helpful to try the 2-ball practice just to get a feel for how to toss the outside balls. There’s a Library of Juggling diagram with suggestions. I’m just trying to toss and catch right now. Maybe I’ll be able to do more than one throw someday.
