Remember That Single Leg Sit to Stand Exercise?

,

I got to thinking about the recent remark I made about how many repetitions you should be able to do the single leg sit to stand exercise (10 to 15 reps per leg, hah!).

Well, I got to wondering if I could do something like that. I looked on the web for the number of reps of the single leg sit to stand somebody in his 70s should be able to do. It turns out there’s no standard for codgers my age.

You can find standards for my age group for sit to stand using both legs (a dozen or so)—but not just one leg.

OK, so I used a chair pad, but it’s barely 4 inches thick. I wore a regulation cow hat. I can do 15 reps on each leg. Since there’s no standard for anybody my age, I don’t know exactly what that means. Sena says it looks like it hurts, but it doesn’t.

Maybe you should have a buddy standing by to catch you in case you start to fall. I fall on my head so it doesn’t matter.
