We had a wild day with a battery-powered weed and trimming tool called the WoodRanger Weed and Grass Trimmer. It is reminiscent of our little battery-powered snow blower.

It was harder than necessary for me to assemble because I couldn’t find decent instructions on line or packed in the box. That’s not the way to treat somebody who is not a handyman.

It took me most of the day, mainly because I got hung up on trying to attach both the blade guard and the wheel assembly to the tool. You can’t do that. You can do wheels or guard but not both.

It didn’t help that we got a late start because the tool got delivered to the wrong house. It was on the front porch of the house across the street from us. This has happened before but in the opposite direction. It’s a UPS problem. Sena thought that was the problem after we got mystifying emails telling us that it was delivered to our home/front porch but it was not.

Sena saw the box on the neighbor’s porch and just walked over to have a look. Sure enough, it was ours, so she just took it. Sena had ordered extra blades and batteries. Later in the afternoon, she really got after the weeds!

I have a few snapshots of a few of the assembly steps. We also have a video of Sena ripping through the tall weeds in the outlot close to the backyard garden. She thinks it works great. Even if it looks a little rickety, it cut through weeds pretty well.
