Jim Whistles “Anchors Aweigh”

I carefully “weighed” the decision on whether or not to whistle another tune, but figured I could make it through “Anchors Aweigh.”

The history of the song is interesting and you can read about it here.

My dad, John Amos, enlisted in the United States Navy when he was in the 11th grade during World War II. He was stationed in the Pacific and received an honorable discharge after serving four years.

Sena and I visited the Pearl Harbor National Memorial in Hawaii back in 1997.
