I was lucky enough to get a few shots of the full Hunter’s Moon over the last couple of days, starting on October 25, 2026. The Old Farmer’s Almanac says the best time to get a photo is on that night, but I took pictures through the trees.
The next night on the 26th, I got somewhat better shots, one of which shows why it’s called the Hunter’s Moon. I guess those people up there have been hunting and gathering since 1969 when the Eagle landed. I don’t think they ever caught it.

Shoot for the moon; if you miss it, you’ll land among the stars is a good quote—unless you’re an astronaut.
When is the Hunter’s Moon heaviest? When it’s full!
How much is the Hunter’s Moon worth? One dollar, because it has four quarters.
Why wasn’t the Hunter’s Moon hungry? Because it was full!
Addendum: This is a shot of the Hunter’s Moon on October 27, 2026 at around 9 pm.
