This seems like a good time to again point out that this is the day after the first day of autumn. Funny, that’s exactly what I said about the original post in 2022. My forgetfulness about announcing the first day of autumn on the actual first day of autumn is chronic and stable.

Fortunately, I noticed that the article about optimism by Susanna Windon, PhD, “Realistic and Optimistic: Managing Mindset in Challenging Times” is no longer available (or at least I couldn’t find it). Here’s an alternate article “The Power of Realistic Optimism” by Jonathan F. Anderson is available—for now.

I think that’s at least looking on the bright side.
