I have just noticed that there are over 5,000 comments posted on the comments section of regulations.gov in the section entitled Meeting of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices-September 2025.
The link to the comment section is on the CDC ACIP meeting announcement web page, “Written Public Comments.”
This is the first time I’ve seen a written comment section like this for the meetings. I think it gives people a sense of what health care professionals and others think about how things are going with the current approach to preventive medicine at the CDC.

Thanks for posting that link Jim. I perused several of the posts and concluded adding another one probably would not add much. When I see these public comment sections I am not sure they have much impact. It seems like a way to appease the masses as the politicians and regulators do what they want to in the end. In the case of ECT a few years ago that was a good thing. But in this case it is far less clear. I hope some enterprising researchers are able to analyze all of the comments and determine how many may have been made by bots or trolls.

You make a good point questioning how many of the comments are genuine. We watched many of the meetings during the pandemic. I still haven’t seen any specifics on what exactly the committee will be voting on.
