Just north of the border up here in Minnesota – masks are required for everyone in healthcare facilities. I was at Mayo 2 weeks ago and the place was packed with masked people. Good recent opinion by an evolutionary virologist suggested that the direction the pandemic takes at this point depends not just on the evolution of the virus – but the behavior of individuals in mitigating risk.
I notice that one person who commented on the policy made it clear that the mask policy change was premature. We’ll have to wait for an answer becasue it has been “passed on to leadership.” It makes me wonder if leadership was involved in framing this change in the first place.
