Miracle Whip Recipe Change Inquiry to Kraft-Heinz!

What do you know? Sena got a jar of Miracle Whip and I sent an inquiry to Kraft-Heinz the same day inquiring about how, why, and when did the manufacturer change the recipe for the salad dressing that a lot of older people are so unhappy about.

I wrote the post “What Happened to Miracle Whip” about 4 years ago. There is no single post on my blog that so consistently gets regular reads and it has garnered the most comments of any post.

Sena picked Hellmann’s Real Mayonnaise and I got Miracle Whip for our baloney sandwiches.

Here’s my inquiry, which required a UPC Code and a lot of other information:

Question to Kraft-Heinz:

“I first used Miracle Whip as a spread on sandwiches when I was in grade school. I think it tastes different now, but I attribute that to aging taste buds. On the other hand, I write a blog, Go Retire Psychiatrist and I published a post entitled “What Happened to Miracle Whip?” on Sept 3, 2022. That post has a record of the most reads and most comments over the last several years. All the commenters say that the Miracle Whip recipe has changed drastically over the last several years and they don’t like it. Have you changed it in any way that would make it so noticeable to so many older people? And if you did, when did you make the change?”

Kraft-Heinz accepted the inquiry on August 11, 2026.

For a while, I thought Sena would never buy another jar of Miracle Whip, but she did. It could be a while before Kraft-Heinz replies, if they ever do. This got new legs when she heard a DJ named Mike Waters on Iowa radio station KOKZ 105.7 FM (see my posts about National Dairy Month just this past June) recently mentioned that his favorite sandwich was mustard and pickles on, I presume, white bread. That’s all, just mustard and pickles. I guess he didn’t specify any particular mustard brand or flavor or pickle brand either.

Any bets on whether Kraft-Heinz will reply? On the other hand, please, no wagering.
